M.S. Forensic Nanotechnology

The MS forensic nanotechnology programme will provide you very fundamental knowledge on nanotechnology as well as its wide applications in different branches including forensic science. 1. Nano Biotechnology:

This specialization includes multidisciplinary field of research that is flourishing at GFSU especially in biotechnology and nanotechnology streams. There are blooming applications of biotechnology currently such as developing various medicines, vaccines and diagnostics, increasing productivity, improving energy production and conservation, environment protection and management and all these applications can be pushed forward by use of nanotechnology. There is a vast requirement of manpower in India and abroad for candidates with this specialization in particular in biotech and pharma companies, food and agriculture research, forensics research. The students can also grab opportunities in research agencies working in defense and environment science, universities, government and private research organizations. Students can also choose careers in business development divisions of medical devices and diagnostic instrument manufacturing companies.

2. Nano Engineering

The MS Forensic Nanotechnology with specialization in Nano Engineering is the application extension of Nanotechnology, which is a collective term for a range of new technologies that involve the manipulation of matter at small scales, typically 1-100 nanometers for the creation of functional materials. It is an emerging field of technological development with a strong thrust internationally. It is predicted to impact on practically every major sector of engineering, from consumer goods, health care and medicine, food and agriculture, to space technology, telecommunications, environment and energy, to name a few. Students can find employment in research and development laboratories in industry. Beside this, The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has setup 38 laboratories in India dedicated to research in Nanotechnology.

3. Nano Science Nanotechnology

This multidisciplinary programme will complement your background in chemistry, physics, biology, materials science or engineering. This course offers the potential benefits of new products for Forensic investigations stronger and lighter materials; and smaller, more accurate, and more sensitive sensing and monitoring devices, cost-effective development and use of renewable energy sources, development of processes with reduced material and energy requirements and minimal waste generation, early detection and treatment of diseases, Improved systems to control, prevent, and remediate pollution problems. This institute provide access to world-class infrastructure for nanotechnology research and development as well as opportunities for students to continue their studies with a PhD.
